Step by step, we've come a long way
Getra was founded in response to a very specific need: to create a link between the various companies involved in the eyewear production chain in Belluno and Upper Treviso.
Over 30 years ago, Getra started running twice-daily routes between several production areas in Belluno and Treviso, thus allowing customers to transport their materials in the space of a few hours thanks to our efficient and timely service. We have refined this targeted service over the years, which has allowed us to greatly facilitate the work of local artisans, assist the logistics of the industrial district, and fully satisfy our customers.
At the end of the 1990s, several businesses chose to relocate their operations, which reduced the presence of manufacturers in the eyewear district. This lead to a significant drop in the transport needs of companies operating in the eyewear sector. These market changes prompted Getra to establish new partnerships and bring its expertise to new sectors, resulting in a fruitful collaboration with Fercam S.p.A.
Thanks to our partnership, we have expanded our service portfolio, while continuing to offer the services defined in our early days, which we have honed over the years.
